RubiPic Privacy Policy

1. Overview

RubiPic is an app that turns your photos into print-ready Rubik's Cube mosaic plans. The App works entirely locally, on your device. You can choose an image from your photo library, take a photo with your camera, or import an image file. The App then processes the image on your device and generates a print-ready PDF at true 1:1 scale.

We do not operate user accounts, we do not run our own backend server, and we do not intentionally collect or store your personal data on our servers.

2. Information Processed by the App

The App may process the following information locally on your device:

• images selected by you from your photo library, camera, or files;
• generated mosaic previews and generated PDF files;
• app settings such as language, units, cube size and colors, mosaic size, and similar preferences;
• information about in-app purchase status needed to unlock the "lifetime unlock" feature and to restore purchases.

Images and generated files are processed locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers or to any third party.

3. Camera, Photos and Files Permissions

The App may request access to:

• Camera — to let you take a photo and use it to create a mosaic;
• Photo library (read) — to let you select an existing photo to process;
• Photo library (write) — to let you save the generated mosaic to your device, at your explicit request;
• Files — to let you import an image file.

These permissions are used only to provide the App's core functionality. You can manage them in your device settings at any time.

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers a one-time in-app purchase (a "lifetime unlock"), handled entirely by the Apple App Store and/or Google Play payment system, depending on the platform you use.

We do not have access to your payment card details or full billing information — these are processed solely by Apple Inc. and/or Google LLC, according to their own privacy policies: Apple, Google.

The App communicates with the App Store / Google Play only to verify purchase status and to allow it to be restored (the "Restore purchases" feature).

5. Sharing and Printing

The App may let you print or share a generated PDF using system features available on your device. Sharing only happens when you choose to use the share or print option.

When you share a file with another app or service, the handling of that file is governed by the privacy policy of that app or service.

6. No Tracking, Ads, or Analytics

The App does not contain any analytics, advertising, or tracking tools (no Google Analytics, Firebase, AdMob, Facebook SDK, or similar). We do not profile users and we do not sell or share any data with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at the address given in section 15.

8. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, the legal bases for processing are:

• performance of a contract — when the App processes information necessary to provide its features or paid functionality;
• your consent — when you grant device permissions such as camera or photo library access;
• legitimate interests — where necessary to maintain the App's functionality and security.

Because the App does not use our own backend account system and does not upload your images to our servers, virtually all processing happens locally on your device.

9. Data Retention

Photos, generated mosaics, PDF files, and settings are stored locally on your device only for as long as needed for the App to function.

You can delete local data by deleting generated files, clearing the App's data where supported by your device, or uninstalling the App. Purchase records may be retained by Apple and/or Google according to their own legal and accounting obligations.

10. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your images with third parties from our own servers, because we do not upload them to any servers.

Information may be processed by Apple and/or Google when you download the App, make an in-app purchase, restore purchases, or use App Store / Google Play services. Apple and Google process such information according to their own privacy policies.

11. International Transfers

We do not transfer your images or generated mosaics to our own servers. Apple and/or Google may process App Store / Google Play and purchase-related information in countries outside your country of residence, according to their own privacy and legal terms.

12. Your Rights

Because the App does not collect or store personal data outside your device, in practice we process little to no data to which the rights below would apply — they may nonetheless apply in a limited scope. If the GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable privacy laws apply, you may have the right to:

• request access to your personal data;
• request correction of your personal data;
• request deletion of your personal data;
• object to or restrict certain processing;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

In Poland, the competent authority is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). To exercise your rights, contact us at the address given in section 15 — we will respond within a reasonable time, not exceeding 30 days.

13. Security

We rely on the security features provided by your device and operating system. Since image processing happens locally, your photos remain on your device unless you choose to share or export them. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we aim to limit data processing to what is necessary for the App to work.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will announce changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document and, where possible, within the App itself.
